DA is expected to increase by 3 percent for the second half of the year. After this increase, employees will get 45 percent DA. If government increases DA till Dussehra then central employees will also get 3 months arrears. In fact, this year the festival of Vijayadashami or Dussehra is being celebrated on October 24. The new increase will be effective from July 1, 2023, so the DA for July, August and September will be due. If we look at the previous pattern, the central government will also pay this DA arrears along with the October salary hike.
