Shah Rukh Khan and Nayantara’s film ‘Jawaan’ is making a splash at the box office. Made with a budget of 300 crores, the film has earned 491.63 crore rupees at the Indian box office. Talking about the worldwide box office, ‘Jawaan’ directed by Attlee has done a business of Rs 858.68 crores at the worldwide box office. Interestingly, after the stormy innings of ‘Jawaan’ at the box office, the makers are now planning to send Shahrukh Khan’s film for Oscars.

When the film’s director Atlee was asked if he was eyeing an Oscar? Then he said in an interview to ETimes, “Of course! ‘Jawan’ should go too. I think every effort to make money at the box office, every director, every technician is looking at the Golden Globes, the Oscars and the National Awards. I have too. Yes. Shah Rukh Khan promised Atlee five years ago
Atla said in the same interview that he narrated the story of ‘Jawaan’ to Shah Rukh Khan on Zoom call. He said, ‘I have never told anyone the story of the film on zoom call. But, I couldn’t wait for the lockdown to end to tell this story. So I called and asked if we could have a meeting. He said, ‘Come when you have time.’ Then I said, ‘No sir, if you are free I will tell the story on Zoom itself.’ He said, ‘I am not doing anything. Come on, go to Zoom. We had a meeting for three hours. Sir liked the script. Gauri mam also liked the story.
